Business visa

Please note that applications for visa services are carried out strictly by a prior electronic appointment through the website and only during the working hours of the consular section. Those who do not have an appointment will not be received by the consular section.

Ordinary business visa is issued to citizens of Iran, citizens of other countries and persons without citizenship for an entry into the Russian Federation for business purposes (seminars, conferences, meetings with business partners, negotiations).

It is issued based on an invitation issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation (Russian MIA), or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation (Russian MFA).

It can be single- or double-entry valid for up to 90 days, or multiple-entry valid for up to 5 years. At the same time, a multiple entry visa for a period of from 1 year to 5 years is issued provided that an Iranian citizen has used the Russian annual multiple entry business visa at least once in the previous two-year period. The period of stay in the Russian Federation with an ordinary multiple entry business visa may not exceed 90 days for each 180 days period.

In order to apply for a single, double, multi business visa you must submit the following:

1. The invitation for an entry into the Russian Federation issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation; OR The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs decision to issue a visa;
2. For entrepreneurs: a written request addressed to the Head of Consular Section from the host legal entity, institution or their branches or state or local authorities of the Russian Federation. ATTENTION! In this case, the written application must contain information about the name, surname, date of birth, citizenship, passport, the duration and purpose of the trip, the frequency of the requested visa of the invited person, and also the full name of the legal entity and its address, name, surname must be indicated in it, position of the person who signed the appeal, and his phone number. If the inviting person is a legal entity, institution or their branches established in the territory of the Russian Federation, - identification number of taxpayer; registration number established in accordance with the laws of their state.
3. For drivers: A written request addressed to the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Islamic Republic of Iran  from the Iranian Head International Transport Companies Association (ITCA). For this category of citizens a multiple entry visa can be issued only for a period of up to 1 year.
4. A foreign passport in which there are at least 2 blank pages for visas valid for 6 months from the date the visa expires;
5. A copy of the passport page with personal data and a photograph (biographical data). This is the passport page, which contains the name, date of birth, passport number, date of issue and expiration, and a photo of the owner.
6. A visa application form completed on the website visa.kdmid.ru, printed and signed by the applicant in person. 
7. A colour photograph of 3.5x4.5 cm on a light background with a clear image of a full face without glasses with tinted windows and without a headdress (except for citizens who, due to their national or religious affiliation, are depicted in a headdress in a photograph in a passport). In the Visa Center you can use the additional service for making express photos;
   
8. A document giving the right to a foreign citizen to a continuous stay in the country for more than 90 days, if this foreign citizen applies for a visa not in the state of his citizenship (this document is not required if the visa is issued on the basis of an electronic invitation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs or the decision of the Russian Foreign Ministry);
   
9. A health insurance policy valid for the entire period of stay in the territory of the Russian Federation, or for the entire period of the first trip (in the case of a double or multiple entry visa), or for a period of at least 30 days and covering the validity period of the visa.
